What inspired you to join Mountaintop?
"I've reached a point in my leadership journey where I'm ready to pivot from proving our model works to scaling it sustainably. After nine years of building and validating a healthcare social enterprise in Haiti, I'm seeking the tools, perspective, and community to help strengthen and transform the broader healthcare system."
Racha Yehia is the Managing Director of Care 2 Communities (C2C). A McGill University graduate, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science with a minor in International Development and has dedicated her career to global health systems strengthening. Her work has spanned nutrition and public health initiatives in the Philippines and Burkina Faso before she relocated to Haiti in 2014.
Racha began her work in Haiti with Meds & Food for Kids, leading the nutrition department and launching more than 20 malnutrition treatment programs alongside prenatal supplementation initiatives. In 2017, she joined Care 2 Communities and has since played a central role in scaling the organization from two to eight clinics. Today, C2C operates a Haitian-led network of comprehensive health care clinics serving over 350,000 people in Northern Haiti through a public-private partnership with the Ministry of Health.
Grounded in a social enterprise model, C2C revitalizes underperforming clinics while building a sustainable, locally driven healthcare system that creates jobs, trains healthcare professionals, and delivers high-quality care at below-market cost.
