What inspired you to join Mountaintop?

Filipe Garcia is the Chief Executive Officer of WOW, Brazil’s largest super early-stage startup accelerator. Since 2013, Filipe has helped build and now leads a network of more than 450 angel investors and a portfolio of over 180 startups, including 15 exits such as Squid, Movidesk, and AnotAI. WOW supports founders at the earliest stages of company building, helping them turn initial ideas into scalable ventures.
In his role, Filipe leads startup origination, deal flow, acceleration programs, and portfolio management. He works closely with founders to refine business models, clarify product-market fit, and prepare for investment. His approach combines strategic guidance with practical support tailored to the needs of super early-stage teams. He brings more than a decade of hands-on experience supporting founders in growth strategy, fundraising readiness, and building resilient organizations.
Filipe holds a degree in Business Administration from UFRGS and certifications in Venture Capital from Insper and in Startup Accelerator Management through VC Unlocked at 500 Global. Through his leadership, he continues to contribute to the growth and maturity of Brazil’s early-stage startup ecosystem.
