What inspired you to join Mountaintop?

“The Mountaintop Business Executive Fellowship mirrors my own philosophy: that scaling a company and cultivating a workplace where every employee feels valued are deeply interconnected goals. I want to gain new perspectives and practical tools—akin to an MBA experience—while connecting with peers equally passionate about purposeful growth.”

Erica Fu is the Business and Operations Manager at Montieth & Company, a global public relations and communications firm. She leads operations, business strategy, marketing, human resources, and finance in close partnership with the firm’s global management team. As the first person to hold this role, Erica built the operational foundation that supports the firm’s growth, developing systems that strengthen efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across offices in New York, London, and Hong Kong.

Earlier in her career, Erica served as a Project Manager at the City University of New York, where she led the launch and management of three paid student internship programs. These initiatives supported between 50 and 4,100 students and expanded access to career readiness and civic engagement, particularly for first-generation and underrepresented students.

Erica has also worked in advocacy and public policy with organizations including Rank the Vote NYC, Reproductive Freedom for All, and the National Women’s Law Center, focusing on increasing civic participation among BIPOC communities. These experiences have shaped her belief in building strong organizations grounded in inclusion, purpose, and people-centered leadership.

Erica holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Chinese Language and Literature from the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College and a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College. Through the Mountaintop Fellowship, she aims to continue strengthening her leadership and contribute to organizations and systems that enable people and communities to thrive.
