What Happened: During the 2025 Leadership Institute at the Harvard Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics, we planned rapid fire events with 3-4 speakers in small breakout rooms that lasted for 20-30 minutes. While Fellows generally appreciated the highly interactive format, several speakers felt rushed by the short amount of time in each breakout room.

Action and Learning: In future Leadership Institutes, we will prioritize longer breakout sessions to ensure speakers can more effectively teach their insights. We learned that the experience of our speakers, most of whom give their time voluntarily, is just as important as that of our Fellows.
