Sammie Walker Herrera is the founder of Speak Y’all, a public speaking and executive communication coaching practice that helps leaders communicate with confidence, clarity, and authenticity in high-stakes moments. Her work is grounded in the belief that strong communication is a skill that can be learned, practiced, and supported without judgment.
Through her coaching, Sammie supports professionals in developing practical tools to think on their feet, manage nerves, and speak with intention in meetings, interviews, presentations, and leadership settings. She brings over a decade of experience coaching executives and senior leaders across global organizations, including Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, Hitachi, Scotiabank, and Snap Inc.
Sammie also designs and delivers workshops for organizations and institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, Kuehne+Nagel, and Women in Payments, supporting leaders at different stages of their careers. Her work focuses on impromptu speaking, executive presence, and navigating complex communication challenges, particularly in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
She specializes in public speaking, executive communication, and neurodivergent leadership development. Her approach is strengths-based and inclusive, honoring diverse communication styles rather than enforcing a single definition of confidence or professionalism. As a Certified ADHD Coach through the ADD Coach Academy, she integrates executive functioning strategies into her coaching to support focus, preparation, and follow-through.
Sammie is a Mexican-American leader from South Texas and a late-diagnosed Autistic ADHDer. She holds two bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Hispanic Studies from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Slippery Rock University. She is deeply committed to supporting neurodivergent, first-generation, and immigrant leaders in finding their voice and communicating with clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
