Deena is a writer, researcher, and social entrepreneur working on issues related to global health and economic development. She has written about topics like the re-emergence of iodine deficiency, degassing Lake Kivu in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and changes in subjective wellbeing for major media outlets. Deena is also the co-founder of a solar energy social enterprise based in Egypt. She has held roles at McKinsey & Company and Open Philanthropy. Deena graduated with a BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University.
