Clare Joy Tusingwire is a seasoned community development professional with over 14 years of experience in empowering communities and driving systemic change. For the past eight years, Clare has worked with Girl Up Initiative Uganda, where she became Head of Programs in 2019.
She has a proven track record of strengthening organizations and youth groups, unlocking their full potential through strategic capacity building, and fostering sustainable development. Clare’s ability to engage local stakeholders and build collaborative relationships has been instrumental in amplifying the impact of community-focused programs. Clare is deeply committed to advancing the well-being of girls, women and youth working closely with leaders, NGOs, governments, and institutions to create initiatives that enable them to thrive.
Clare is also deeply committed to volunteering, dedicating her time and expertise to various community initiatives that drive meaningful change. Whether working with grassroots organizations, mentoring young leaders, or supporting causes that uplift marginalized groups, Clare's volunteer work reflects her unwavering dedication to serving others. This hands-on involvement complements her professional expertise, further strengthening her ability to build connections and foster positive outcomes.With a solid background in project management, Clare has developed exceptional analytical and financial management skills, excelling in tasks such as bookkeeping, receipt management, and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes.
